Specialty Lighting

Specialty Lighting consists of implementing energy efficient lighting management based on Solar Blue’s comprehensive energy audits and conservation plans.  These energy efficient lighting products include compact fluorescents bulbs (CFLs), light-emitting diode lighting  (LEDs), and inductive lighting, all of which can replace the less energy efficient incandescent bulbs. 

These energy efficient lighting products have a longer rated life span and save nearly 2000 times their own weight in greenhouse gas emissions. In addition, energy efficient lighting will not only decrease energy consumption, but save money by reducing replacement costs.

If every American home replaced just one light bulb with an ENERGY STAR qualified bulb, we would save enough energy to light more than 3 million homes for a year, more than $600 million in annual energy costs, and prevent greenhouse gases equivalent to the emissions of more than 800,000 cars.
